Mrs. Laura Earwood: Impact Felt Across Countries and Communities
Thirteen-plus years in international education throughout the US, Wales, Japan, Jordan, and Austria has taught Mrs. Laura Earwood one thing above all: students don't just need to be taught, they need to be seen.

Celebrating 45 years of impact at the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG), we move into the next 45 with a leader whose impact has already been felt across countries, different communities–someone who believes:

We are proud to welcome Mrs. Laura Earwood, our new Secondary Principal. As Assistant Principal at Bellarmine College Preparatory, an IB educator at UWC Atlantic College in Wales, and Programme Coordinator and Director of Pastoral Care at UWC ISAK Japan, Mrs. Earwood has built her career on the belief that when students feel safe, supported, and empowered, they lead.

That philosophy extends far past the classroom.

As a Safer Recruitment Trainer and safeguarding advocate, Mrs. Earwood believes wellbeing is the foundation to great leadership. Mrs. Earwood has helped schools strengthen student support systems and improve communication and care within their communities. In every role she's held, she has focused on building environments where students feel safe, challenged, and connected. Belonging sits at the center of it all–something Mrs. Earwood is intentional about:

As we open a new school year and mark 45 years of AISG, Mrs. Earwood’s leadership, international experience, and dedication to student wellbeing will have a lasting impact on our Secondary School and the wider AISG community.
Welcome to RamNation, Mrs. Earwood.
