Hou Bin

Bio:
Hou Bin is a Chinese high jumper who won Paralympic titles at three consecutive Paralympic Games from Atlanta 1996 through to Athens 2004. He was chosen as the torchbearer who lit the Olympic cauldron at the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. His high jump record was a stunning 1.92 meters.
About the visit to AISG:
Hou Bin visited both campuses to share his inspirational story of achieving his seemingly impossible dreams. To the audience, Hou Bin discussed the importance of never giving up and that no goal is impossible. He shared that we should never limit our goals, that slow progress is still progress. It was incredibly inspiring to see someone who doesn’t let anything stop them or slow them down and be able to make it to the top of their field.
