Grade 4 and 5 Students Showcase Musical Talents

Before the holiday, our Grade 4 and 5 students showcased their performing arts talents onstage! Grade 4 students used their beautiful singing voices to dazzle the audience while Grade 5 sang, acted, and danced in a production of the musical “A Kid’s Life.”

The show opened with vibrant performances from our Grade 4 students, who set the stage with lively songs to celebrate the holiday season, including “Please Let it Snow,” “December Nights, December Lights,” and “Kuwa Na Krismasi Njema.”

Grade 5 students were on next with their production of "A Kid's Life," which revolves around a massive electromagnetic attack from outer space that has jammed all technical systems, leaving the kids without electricity, cell phones, or laptops—essentially, no fun at all! As panic sets in, Grandpa and Grandma arrive to introduce a day filled with daring adventure, music, and imagination, all without fancy gadgets.

Each scene resonated with relatable moments from a child's perspective, connecting deeply with both children and adults in the audience. The combination of catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics allowed the performers to evoke reflections on their own childhood memories.

Throughout the musical, the students displayed impressive choreography and stage presence, showcasing the skills they had developed during rehearsals. The seamless transitions between songs and scenes highlighted their teamwork and commitment to the production.

This musical experience was a testament to the creativity and talent of our students, leaving the audience inspired and filled with nostalgia for their own childhood adventures.

AISG's Visual and Performing Arts program is designed to provide our students with experiences to develop curiosity, interest, and enjoyment of their own creativity and an appreciation for others’ work. Click here to learn more about the Arts at AISG.
