Family Fun Day
This past Saturday, the PTA hosted their annual Family Fun Day at the Er Sha campus for everyone in the AISG community to attend. It was a great turnout this year and everyone had a lot of fun playing games, eating, and socializing.
Family Fun Day was extra exciting this year, as we weren’t able to hold the event last year due to the pandemic, and you could definitely feel it in the air!

Our Upper Secondary community service groups had booths outside to raise money for their various causes. Students came up with games like whack-a-mole, limbo, and ring toss, with students making their own props and equipment. There were also booths for henna, tie dye, and figuring painting.

This year the food was catered by the Garden Hotel, featuring delicious barbecue, tacos, ice cream and more! There was also a teacher bake sale table for people to grab some goodies.

New this year was a community swap where people could bring in their gently used items. This helps to reduce global fashion waste where one truckload is dumped in landfills each second of the day. The proceeds of the swap went to help a staff member with their cancer treatment.

The event also had a twist this year! Starting later to enjoy the cooler temperatures, the adults enjoyed a Parent-Teacher mixer in a fun social setting while the kids were treated to a movie in the MPR that was decked out with a high-tech LED screen and surround sound. Kids brought blankets, pillows, and picnic blankets to get comfortable with their friends while they watched Raya and the Last Dragon.

With our strict campus policy due to COVID, it was a great chance for our community to come together and relax on a cool night. Everyone had a good time chatting and catching up.

A big thank you to the PTA for organizing such a wonderful event for our community! We are already looking forward to the next event, the AISG Holiday Celebration in December.
