Building a Culture of Care

Our Commitment

Student Safeguarding Awareness Month takes place every November at AISG, reflecting our commitment to being a child safe zone where every child can grow and learn in a secure, supportive environment. Throughout the month, our community participated in sessions and learning that strengthened awareness and highlighted our shared responsibility to safeguard students.

Teaching Safety

Our Elementary students also explored the topic in depth during guidance lessons led by our counselors, learning practical ways to protect themselves and make safe choices. They discussed how to identify unsafe situations, practiced strategies to seek help from trusted adults, and developed their understanding of the importance of looking out for one another. These sessions empowered students with the knowledge and confidence to play an active role in safeguarding themselves and contributing to a safe school community.

Purple Power

On November 14, Elementary celebrated Student Safeguarding A’wear’ness Day, with students, faculty, and staff wearing purple to visibly show their dedication to keeping our school safe.

Empowering Caregivers

We also hosted a Caregiver Coffees hosted by members of our Child Protection Committee. During the session, our caregivers learned about how we provide our students with a safe and healthy environment for students, how to address some common scenarios and concerning behaviors, and how our caregivers can reach out for help.

Visible Reminders

As part of the campaign, key safeguarding messages are displayed across both campuses on printed banners and digital screens. Taglines such as “AISG is a student safe zone” and #AISGCares serve as daily, visible reminders of our commitment, helping foster a strong sense of community spirit around this vital priority.

A Community Effort

At AISG, we are deeply committed to ensuring the safety and protection of our students. As part of this commitment, we work with the entire community in learning the most effective ways to safeguard our students and to create a safe environment for them both at AISG and in their respective homes.
