AISG’s First MYP Personal Project Exhibition!

Yesterday, Grade 10 hosted AISG’s first ever MYP Personal Project Exhibition! The MYP Personal Project is an integral part of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Personal Project allows students to embark on a self-directed journey of independent learning. Students are encouraged to identify a passion, explore it in depth, and develop their Approaches to Learning Skills (ATLs) in the process.

Through the MYP Personal Project, students work autonomously making real-world connections, developing knowledge and understanding of a topic that resonates with their interests and passions.

The MYP Personal Project Exhibition, specifically, is a culminating event that showcases the achievements and creativity of our students. Additionally, it allows our community members to witness the diverse range of projects undertaken by our Grade 10 students, from fashion design to robotics and from psychology to learning a language!

Grade 10 caregivers were invited to attend the event, as well as students, faculty, and staff. Our Grade 5 students attended with much excitement, learning from our older students and learning more about exhibitions and setup for their upcoming PYPx! Audiences engaged in meaningful conversations with students, understood their thought processes, and appreciated the depth of their research and analysis.

Great job Grade 10 students! Your hard work really paid off and it was incredible to see our community come together to learn and support our students in their learning.
