AISG Social Practice During Summer 2026
Supported by the Annual Fund, the AISG Social Practice Program is growing, and so are the great opportunities for our students. What began as a vision to bridge academics and professional experience has evolved into a thriving AISG Signature Program that is preparing students to make an Impact Beyond Graduation.

To date, 109 Upper Secondary students have benefited from this AISG Signature Program, working alongside professionals at 12 partner companies, the majority of which were sourced through the incredible generosity of our caregiver community. Through these experiences, students gain firsthand insight into different industries, build confidence, strengthen communication and collaboration skills, and explore how their passions can shape future university and career pathways.

The impact of the Social Practice Program extends well beyond internships or career exploration. It equips students with the mindset, skills, and global perspectives needed to thrive in university and contribute meaningfully to their communities and future professions. By connecting learning to real-world experiences, AISG is helping students become thoughtful, capable, and engaged leaders ready to make a lasting impact beyond graduation.
This past summer, 8 students took part in three immersive programs. Here's a glimpse into their extraordinary journeys:

Company: FEI
Industry: Arts and Architecture
A project-based architecture and design immersion program built to equip students with hands-on creative, ecological, and curatorial skills for real-world design practice.

Throughout the week, students took part in an immersive journey into architecture, art, and ecology, balancing hands-on construction work with creative and cultural exploration. Guided by professional architects and designers, they contributed to real site-specific projects, explored natural farming and the 24 Solar Terms, participated in fieldwork, and experienced a traditional tea ceremony. The program gave students valuable firsthand insight into the architecture and design industry, culminating in a PechaKucha-style presentation where they shared reflections and highlights from their learning journey.

Company: Rambo Medical Center
Industry: Medical and Health Care
A clinical observation and mentorship program designed to provide an authentic introduction to the medical industry through immersive hospital and clinic observations.

During this four-day program in Hong Kong, led by AISG alumna Dr. Amy Wang, students gained a structured and immersive introduction to the medical field through a blend of classroom learning and direct clinical observation. Guided by Dr. Amy Wang and Dr. Simon Wong, students explored different areas of healthcare, from clinic consultations and aesthetic procedures to hospital operations and outpatient urology care at Queen Mary Hospital. Along the way, they learned about bedside manner, medical ethics, and clinical practice while observing real patient consultations, examinations, and surgical procedures. By the end of the program, students deepened their understanding of the healthcare profession and shared their learning through final presentations, leaving with greater confidence and clarity about their future aspirations in medicine.

Company: Shining Star
Industry: Social Service NGO
A project-based social impact immersion program designed to equip students with practical organizational and communications skills for non-profit operations.

Throughout the week, students experienced a meaningful journey into non-profit operations, balancing administrative work with direct program support. A highlight of the program was their on-site service: the four AISG students visited Lijiang Primary School and Jinkeng Primary School in Wuhua County, Meizhou, where they assisted with pre-program questionnaires. They performed exceptionally well, showing initiative and building warm relationships with the children. Under instructor guidance, they also prepared activity materials, processed evaluation data, and supported scholarship documentation. By the program's end, every student had gained a comprehensive understanding of non-profit operations and how behind-the-scenes work impacts lives, concluding with a final presentation and certificate ceremony celebrating their contributions.
