AISG Secondary Athletic & Activity Program
At AISG, we offer a diverse and extensive selection of CCAs (co-curricular activities) for our Secondary students, allowing our students to pursue their passions and interests in a safe and inclusive learning environment. The program is part of our holistic approach to education, where we know the importance of focusing on the whole child and encourage development in all sorts of different areas such as their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.

Our mission, vision, and social vision are all evident in our CCA program, allowing for a unique educational experience, as well as taking time to provide service to our local and global community.
AISG's Unique Offerings
Discovery Program
The Discovery program is a co-curricular activity (CCA) that takes place on Tuesdays during school time and is designed for Secondary students to connect with peers outside of their grade and class, be risktakers and try new experiences, and enjoy building skills in a non-competitive and safe environment. Activities cover different areas such as art, language, design, fitness, innovation, music, and more.

Global Citizenship Education
Our Global Citizenship Education (GCED) also falls under our Discovery program. Upper Secondary students have the option of choosing a GCED group that focuses on service. Students are empowered to take action locally and globally and contribute their time and talents. While we have service groups that are internationally known, such as Roots and Shoots, some of our groups are student-initiated, where students discovered a need and developed a way to address it.

Athletics
Secondary also offers the most extensive athletic program of any international school in South China. As a member of the international Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC) and founding members of Southern Delta Region Conference (SDRC), Pearl River Conference (PRC) and Guangzhou International Schools Sports Association (GISSA), students have the opportunity to represent AISG and develop friendships with other athletes during numerous international and local sporting events throughout the year.

So Many Choices!
This week, our Lower Secondary students were given an overview of their options during their assembly, while our Upper Secondary students held their annual CCA/GCED Fair. At the fair, student coordinators and teacher advisors from each group answered questions from curious and interested students as they contemplated their activity choices. With the Fair creating a buzz of excitement, our students are eagerly anticipating Friday's registration deadline, eager to secure their spots in the activities that best fit their interests and passions.

At AISG, we offer a wide range of athletics and activities that are designed to explore and cater to our students' diverse physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs. Our environment is safe, nurturing, and accommodating, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to thrive. Click here to learn more about AISG Arts, Athletics, and Activities.
