AISG Community Art Exhibition: A Shared Canvas of Growth

On May 19, AISG proudly opened its 2026 Community Art Exhibition at Uno Art Space, unveiling a week‑long celebration that unites student creativity with community connection and real‑world impact. Running until May 26 and open to the public, the exhibition invites Guangzhou to experience how art can inspire, connect, and give back.

A Celebration of Learning and Community

Themed “A Shared Canvas of Growth”, this year’s exhibition features over 180 artworks created by AISG students across all three IB Programmes — the Diploma Programme (DP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Primary Years Programme (PYP). From intricate paintings to bold mixed-media installations, each piece tells a story of personal and collective growth, fueled by imagination and nurtured by AISG’s supportive learning environment.

A Special Collaborative Mural

One of the standout highlights is a large-scale community mural located on Meishan Village in Panyu District. Hand-painted by AISG members of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS), faculty and staff, Shining Star*, and student volunteers from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, this Community Art Service Project transformed an ordinary wall into a symbol of connection. Since its completion, it has drawn curious villagers out of their homes, sparking conversations and community pride.

*Shining Star is AISG’s strategic partner, a non-profit focused on education and mental health for underprivileged youth.

Charity Auction: Giving to the Community through Art

The exhibition goes beyond showcasing art — it creates impact. Select pieces have been donated by student artists for a charity auction, with all proceeds supporting Shining Star’s programs. Every bid is a gift that transforms admiration for a work of art into tangible support for those who need it most.
