The AISG stage lit up on a bright morning as our Grade musical cast brought Rats!, the spirited retelling of The Pied Piper, by Dave and Jean Henry, to life. After weeks of rehearsal and creative preparation, students showcased skills in collaboration, set building, and prop design. Colorful costumes, clever dialogue, and engaging performances reflected their hard work and creativity.

To start the morning, the audience enjoyed a special opening act from our Upper Elementary EASA Orchestra. It was a wonderful reminder of the breadth of AISG’s Performing Arts program, as these young musicians demonstrated focus, discipline, and pride in sharing their music.

The performance was a celebration of students’ growth through the arts. From mastering lines and stage directions to musical cues and timing, the process offered opportunities for confidence-building, problem-solving, and creative collaboration. Behind the scenes, students contributed to costumes and set design, making it a true community project.

At AISG, the Performing Arts program is central to our philosophy of holistic education. Through music and theater, students learn to communicate ideas, connect with audiences, and explore perspectives beyond their own. Performances like Rats! show the transformative power of the arts, inspiring students to take risks, celebrate their talents, and create lasting memories together.
