Upper Secondary Music students and Grades 8 Choir students held their Spring Concert right before the break, showcasing the musical talents they've been perfecting all year. The event took place in our state-of-the-art theater, and it was a wonderful gathering of caregivers, faculty, and fellow students, all there to celebrate the power of music and creativity.

Our Upper Secondary String Ensemble kicked off the show with beautiful renditions of songs from movies and anime such as “Interstellar” and “Merry Go Round Life,” along with classical pieces such as “Carmen” and “String Trio.”

Following them, the Upper Secondary Wind Ensemble performed both movie soundtrack pieces from of their favorite Pixar movies, as well as some jazz and Latin fusion pieces such as “A Night in Tunisia” and “Those Fabulous Flutes.”

The Upper Secondary Rock Band brought us some popular songs that made us want to get up and dance! Their performances of “505” by the Arctic Monkeys, “Can’t Stop,” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane were spectacular!

To close the show, the Upper Secondary Choir and Grade 8 Choir performed both together and separately. Performing popular songs like “I Know the End” by Phoebe Bridgers and “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, as well as songs from musicals and movies such as “Seasons of Love” from Rent and “City of Stars” from La La Land.

At every Spring Concert, we take a moment to shine the spotlight on our Grade 12 students as they wrap up their final performance at AISG. Each student receives a beautiful rose to commemorate this special occasion, celebrating the hard work and dedication they've shown in their musical journeys.

Let’s give a huge round of applause to all our talented performers! Concerts are a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their passions and share their gifts with our vibrant community. What a night to remember!
